Every country has a somewhat different approach to assessing leases on finfish farms. In some cases, it is a rent or lease; others describe it as a fee. These rents or fees are in addition to the business taxes.  The UK aquaculture consulting firm MacAlister Elliott & Partners (MEP) completed a benchmarking study of examples by country.
